Don't Call It a Comeback

Hello,

You've probably come here by mistake. You see, this used to be a food blog. Four years ago when I was nothing but a bright-eyed lab manager, looking for a chance to earn her MD, I started this blog. Back then, in the before-time*, I had the time and energy to cook and bake and it was glorious. But then came medical school. And with it, a series of ever more sleep-depriving activities. Clearly this blog was one of the many things that got neglected and for that, I apologize. I'm probably talking to myself here, which isn't entirely unusual, but if you're reading and by some chance missed me, then I'm talking to you.

I have a few weeks before my internship starts. I have made a few decisions concerning my use of that time. On top of the coursework and orientations and moving that has to be taken care of, I want to write. So I am writing. And I am going to do what I truly set out to do back in the before-time: I'm going to talk to you about food that is stupid-easy and quick to prepare. Because if it isn't, I literally will not be eating it.

With love and newly-formed wrinkles,

K.

*Before-time: The period of years before one enters medical school. Often considered a magical golden age, the before-time occasionally takes on mythic attributes.
